Until now, the best way to download apps and games to your Meta VR headset was through the formal Oculus Shop, but oculus rift game design that process was long and costly. Now there are other ways, as a result of a new iphone app from Traguardo called SideQuest.
Apps such as this will make it easier designed for XR coders to get their content into the hands of consumers. The company points out that it is platform provides creators the tools they need to showcase their applications to people just who may not know about them through a traditional search.
SideQuest also works together with existing XR tools. It let us users look for a specific game or experience through search, and once they have that details, they can use the corresponding app to download that to their headsets. This approach reduces scrubbing and gives coders more options with respect to reaching their customers, which in turn will work for consumers plus the XR environment.
One potential downside of the software is that this doesn’t deliver a similar level of level of privacy settings which you can set through the Oculus software on a desktop computer. That means you might end up with others seeing your online activity, such as which usually apps or perhaps games you’re downloading and playing.
